You’ll begin with a brief set of validated, research-backed psychological assessments, carefully selected for parents and caregivers.
These assessments are administered and interpreted by a licensed psychologist and are widely used in clinical and research settings to understand stress, emotional regulation, and caregiver load.
Core Assessments:
Perceived Stress Scale (PSS) — measures how overwhelming and unpredictable life currently feels; free, widely used, and non-invasive
Difficulties in Emotion Regulation Scale – Short Form (DERS-SF) — identifies patterns of emotional regulation under pressure; brief, insight-rich, and appropriate for parents
Optional/Specialized Assessment:
Parenting Stress Index – Short Form (PSI-SF) — provides parent-specific insight into role strain and parenting-related exhaustion; licensed and administered by a psychologist for higher-touch or specialized cases
